From the Company Treasurer,
March 2008:
"The Company Invites Contributions for Publication of Historical Essay Collection"
Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Company to help publish the historical articles of Rav Marshall.
Over the last 18 years, Rav has authored a great many articles on a variety of subjects pertaining to the colonial period.
At our June, 2007 meeting, the Company voted to publish these historical articles to preserve them and to make them readily
available for future use. The cost to publish these essays is approximately $3,500.
The Company does not have sufficient annual income to cover this expense. In fact, annual income from dues is coincidentally
about $3,500. These funds are required for other purposes. The Company does have a small amount of Certificate of Deposit
Investments which can be used for the publishing costs; however, we would rather hold on to those investments. As a result
we are seeking contributions from members to help off-set the cost.
Please mail your contribution payable to the Washington and Northern Virginia Company of the Jamestowne Society to:
Contributions to the Company Are Tax Deductible:
You can fully deduct contributions to the Company when no goods or services are received. An IRS Determination Letter
dated January 12, 1994 recognized the Washington and Northern Virginia Company of the Jamestown Society as a 501(c)(3)
and further classified it a public charity under section 509(a)(2).
