John Price traveled to
Virginia arriving aboard the Starr on 11 May 1611. His earliest mention in the
records is patenting 150 acres in the Corporation of Henrico in February 1620.
The census shows that he and his wife were living in 1625 at Neck of Land in
Henrico, and the muster of 1625 shows John , age 40 and Ann, age 21, who had
reached Virginia aboard the Francis Bonaventure, still at Neck of Land but with
a 3-month-old daughter, Ann.
The record shows him elected to the Assembly
representing Neck of Land in 1625, and being present when the Assembly met on 10
May of that year. He also appeared as a witness before the General Court later
that month.
He died in 1628, after having three children:
Ann, Matthew and John. His daughter, Ann, does not appear again in the record,
but Matthew and John, are found. Matthew is recorded patenting 150 acres of land
in 1638, but had no issue.
The younger John had two sons, Daniel and John.
